Questions on Awnings

Q. How do motorised awnings work?

A. Motorised awnings are operated by an electric motor that is housed inside the awning. The motor is then connected to an outdoor plug socket or wired to the house mains. You then, press a button on your remote and the motor moves the awning out or in, depending on the desired position.

Q. Are motorised awnings more expensive than manual awnings?

A. Yes, motorised awnings are generally more expensive than manual awnings due to the added cost of the electric motor. However, the convenience and ease of use that motorised awnings offer can make them a worthwhile investment for many homeowners. Additionally, motorised awnings can have longer lifespans and require less maintenance than manual awnings, which can save money in the long run.

Q. Can motorised awnings be installed on any type of building?

A. Motorised awnings can be installed on most types of homes and buildings, including houses, apartments, and commercial properties. However, the installation process may vary depending on the specific structure and location. Some factors that can affect installation include the type of mounting surface, the presence of obstructions such as windows or doors, and local building codes and regulations. It is important to consult with a professional installer or contractor to determine the cost and requirements for installing a motorised awning on your home or office.
